Lunch-time abs

** Edited to add that I just signed up with Twitter! I couldn’t help it ;)

You can follow me here. I can’t promise too much brilliance yet, but I’ll get there. I’ll be tracking everyone down today so I can follow you.  Leave a comment with your username if you like :)

This morning went pretty well. I did something kind of stupid at work, and had that icky feeling in my stomach all morning because I was worried I had messed something up. But then I reminded myself that I’m only human and mistakes will be made. It could have been worse!

Breakfast was the usual, I am super boring in that regard. But I can’t imagine not having a green monster everday. I just can’t!

For lunch today I basically just wanted to finish off the yogurt dip container, but I refrained… somewhat.

I had a pita pocket with carrots, greens, and dip, which I paired with raw broccoli and more dip and some hummus. Yummmm… This of course led to the discovery that the yogurt dip is even better when mixed with Sabra. I also had a random kiwi on the side that I’d forgotten I had.

I also sliced up some peaches for my afternoon snack. A few slices may have jumped into my mouth.

I’m more than likely going to be going out to dinner tonight with my roommate’s parents, so I did the sit-up portion of the Tone Up Challenge after lunch. That way if dinner runs long I’ll only have the other two segments to do before bed. I definitely felt the burn from the 100 sit-ups. My breakdown was

20 regular crunches

20 leg lift crunches right

20 leg lift crunches left

20 regular crunches

20 bicycle crunches

I’m a little disappointed that I’m going to be missing yoga again tonight, but oh well. I might try to get in some light cardio after dinner if time permits.

How do you recover from minor slip-ups at work?

  1. Don’t you just wish it were 100% normal to take a spoon and eat dips to your heart’s content? I would do that with hummus, bean dip, etc. Lunch looks great!
