Every day is coffee day

Good evening! How has this lovely Tuesday treated you? Mine treated me quite well, although I was sad to be stuck inside all day when the weather was positively gorg :(

At least I have a window to where I can peer out at the sunshine – even if my view is a parking lot and the batting cages across the way.

Guys, I did something quite unusual today…

I ATE breakfast (as opposed to drinking it, per usual). I was running rather behind this morning due to a disapperaing act done by one of my shoes. So I figured I would use up my last two mini bagels and run with it (literally). I had the above sammie times two, filled with cream cheese and apricot preserves.

This solid breakfast actually held me over quite well, surprisingly. However I will probably be sticking to my smoothies, because I just love them so.

Of course I participated in National Coffee Day, but every day is Coffee Day for me.

After multiple hours of workin’ for the weekend, I stopped for lunch which consisted of a big salad, slightly dressed up with some shredded cheese + carrots + red cabbage + homemade dressing.

I also had an Amy’s Pizza Toaster (not sure if that’s the offish name, since I tossed the box already). I use my tupperware lid as a dish sometimes. I’m so green.

These things are pretty yummy. I’ve been wanting to try the dessert kind too, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

After I edited a long, boring newsletter I rewarded myself with a snack. I was “that girl” and popped a mini bag of popcorn in the office. It really didn’t smell that good though, so I don’t feel too bad.

After my snack I typed up some reports, blah blah blah and then… had another snack. My last honey Oikos with some raspberries that were on sale for $1.32 – score!

I put my yogurt in a pretty bowl today because all of my berries wouldn’t fit in the cup (TWHS). I really want to steal this bowl! It’s such a perfect size. All my bowls are too grande.

While I was eating this beauty, I was exploring the wonderful world of gmail instead of being productive at work. Can you believe that until today I had never categorized my emails?? I just had them all in the inbox. For shame!

After spending quite a large amount of time on that feat, I got a little more productive and finished up the day at work. Then it was time to fight traffic and head to my hair appointment. I drive a pretty long ways, but my hair stylist is the bomb and so worth it. If you live in the OKC area and want good hair, hit me up and I’ll give you her name/salon. Seriously, she’s amazing.

After getting my hair did (actually just cut, I didn’t make her style it since I was going straight to the gym) I munched on a gala apple.

It was no Honey Crisp but I was happy to eat it.  However, I realized that I did not plan my evening eating situation thoroughly. I was hangry, but would not succumb to the temptation of buying any food so I just suffered through a shortish cardio sesh (30 minutes elliptical) and then headed home to get my grub on.

Which is where I currently am. So I need to run and fill my tum!

What’s your hair like? Color, length, style? Do you color it or get lots of different styles? Are you a master at up-dos or can you create Hills-like ringlets? Seriously, I wanna know!!

My hair is long and pretty naturally straight. I’ve never colored or highlighted it, but I’m already starting to get a few grays here and there so I’ll probably start before I’m 30. I can’t style my hair for nothin’ either, the best I can do is curl it – on a good day.

Boring as lettuce

G’morning! I am once again the proud owner of sore arms and legs courtesy of amazing yoga. Hopefully my body won’t rebel against me like last week and I can go again on Wednesday. I’m really in a yoga place these days.

Thanks for your tips/concert about my makeup allergy. I stopped using it and it feels better already. Plus I looked on the return label and it says I can return an item if I have an allergy to it. Now, I just have to figure out if I have to return my free samples too since I’ve already used one of them. And I’m thinking if I take it into the store I could probably get an exchange. Yeah, you probably didn’t care to know all that. I was typing out loud, lo siento.

Last night after I posted, I did indeed “scrounge” up dinner. It was nothing to write home about, but at least I ate and there was green on my plate (hehe, I rhymed).

I had a wrinkly sweet tater that I needed to use or lose. And the thought of losing it was quite sad, so indeed I used it by roasting it up in the oven with some spicies – garlic, salt and pepper to be exact. I also had a salad on the side.

Please note the utter dullness of my salad. I bought lettuce on my ultra frugal g-shopping trip this weekend, but I neglected to buy any veggies to feature atop the the lettuce. Thus, my salads are boring.

DSC_0027

I really like lettuce though, so it wasn’t a total lost cause. I may even be eating another boring salad for lunch today, probably because I have no other options.

To add a little zing into my less than riveting dinner, I had some of my homemade brownies. These things taste like pure sugar! I must adjust the recipe next time!

That piece was a little long and skinny, not sure what’s up with that…

After dinnering, I packed my lunch and my workout clothes for today, picked out my work clothes, watched TV, read blogs, read a chapter in my book and then called it a night. I slept MUCH better last night, thank goodness. And I had a dream that JC Chasez of ‘N Sync and now the judge of ABDC took me out on a date and drugged me. WTF??

My post will be kind of late tonight, as I’m getting my hair cut. Nothing exciting I just get trims and never color my hair. You might call me as boring as lettuce, if you were mean.

I hope you all have a magical day :)
