House Hunting

Hey! The house hunting went alright yesterday. We saw one really crazy house that was kind of cool in a quirky kind of way, and fell in love with one that had already been leased :( When we pulled up to one of the houses to meet the real estate person, he said, “Ummmm, no… you can’t live here. I wouldn’t let my daughters live here.” Haha, I guess we appreciated the honesty. We have a couple more to look at today and throughout the week too.

We took a break at one point and shared a Margherita pizza.

It was okay, but the tomatoes tasted weird.

When we got home, I was of course hungry again (house hunting is cardio in case you didn’t know!) so I ate the rest of the leftover veggie pasta from the other day.

After eating I had to hurry and get ready to meet up with friends to watch the game. The game did not go well… but we had a good time anyways :)

This morning I had an avocado sammie for breakfast, because that’s what sounded good.

A phantom must have taken a few bites before that picture was taken ;)

Later on I had a pear for a snack.

We’re about to go look at some more houses. Hope we find the one!!

  1. Good luck on the house hunting. At first it has to be fun, but I can about imagine that after awhile, it gets to be repetitive!

That pizza looks like it has some serious bread goin’ on. My kind of zaa’.

  2. You know how I feel about avocado sandwiches for breakfast…toast that bread and mash that green goodness! Yum!

As for house hunting, it’s a labor of love. My realtor gave me good advice…when you’re looking, there are going to be things that you don’t like about every place. But, you have to ask yourself, “Are these things that I can live with and work with–wall paint colors, etc.–or is it something that will be more trouble than it’s worth–a flooded backyard, not as much closet space, etc., even though you like everything else. This helped me to look at things a bit different (dealbreaker?)

This could actually apply to my love life as well, except I have a house and no boyfriend…at any rate, she also told me I would know the house the minute I walked in it, and I did! Good luck :)

  3. good luck with the hunting girl! i love honest renters – i have had a couple of them in the past, and have truly appreciated the honesty. love starting the morning with an avocado sammie – gotta go with what sounds good!

  4. Wow Estate Agents aren’t normally that nice at least he was honest with you. Good luck with the search, I’m sure the perfect house is just round the corner.
