Hola amigas! I am about to head to my mom’s house to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday and have a belated Thanksgiving celebration. I can’t tell you how excited I am for free, home-cooked food. I don’t have to make something crappy out of my pantry or pay to eat. Major score.
For breakfast this morning, I went the pay-to-eat route.
In order to “get more protein” in accordance with my December goals, I decided I wanted eggs for breakfast. Since there aren’t any eggs in my house, I bought a breakfast burrito. It worked, but it wasn’t ideal. It did keep me full a lot longer than my smoothie and oatmeal breakfasts usually do.
I didn’t want to pay for two meals today though, so I headed home for lunch and made tropical oats, containing 1/2 cup oats, 1/4 cup canned pineapple, agave, and coconut.
I ate this while doing some light packing, since I won’t be able to do much tonight.
I also took half of a multi vitamin, per my December goals.
Someone asked on my last post why I was only taking a half of a vitamin everyday. My reasoning is that I eat a pretty nutritious diet, so I probably don’t need the whole thing, but I have no idea how accurate that is. Also, they tend to upset my stomach a bit, even when taken after food, so only taking half helps me kep it down. Feel free to chime in if you think that’s totally wack though
I my snack of the week later on in the afternoon. I have a feeling my love affair with this snack will be short-lived. It’s too messy.
Along with some chemical tea.
Which of course upset my stomach. When will I learn that I can’t tolerate artificial sweetener? Never, I presume.
Gym Update: I can freeze my YMCA account for 60 days and rejoin within paying another enrollment fee, so I’m going to do that to give my pocketbook a break this month. I can still workout there until the 15th of this month and then I’ll just use my workout room/apt gym/free passes at nearby gyms in the meantime. I’m pretty pumped about it
Alright, I’m off to the b-day party. Have a good evening!

Enjoy your home cooked meal

i heard on oprah that it’s good to split your vitamins throughout the day anyway so i like your theory.

I haven’t had a breakfast burrito in a while, but that looks very good!
Yay for home-cooked meals a la mom! Can’t beat that:)
That’s pretty cool with the gym membership. Sounds like a good deal to me!

Yay for the gym plan! I’m looking forward to freezing my account and actually missing the gym enough to go back in a month or two!
Haha, I NEVER learn when things upset my stomach consistently. Like milk. Love it, but it hates me and I NEVER remember. Oh well.
Glad for the gym plan! Sounds like a perfect solution.
