If you’re happy and you know it

Clap your hands… clap clap.

Getting in a 2 mile run at the gym yesterday in order to slowly ease myself back into running.

CLAP CLAP!

Having to hold off on doing my lower body workout because my danged right ankle was throbbing post-run.

[crickets]

Going home and finally trying out the official recipe for ch-ch-ch-cheetah’s at Paige’s urging.

CLAP CLAP CLAP!

Pairing these delicacies with a side of simple braised red Swiss chard.

CLAP CLAP

Getting to bed at a decent hour and rising this morning at 6:18 a.m.

CLAPPITY CLAP CLAP!

Doing a 30 minute elliptical workout while watching House before work.

CLAP CLAP

Realizing that waking up even half an hour earlier than usual gives me a feeling that less of my day is spent sitting on my butt at work.

CLAP CLAP

Still managing to arrive at work one minute late despite getting up 42 minutes earlier than I did yesterday.

[awkward silence]

And, speaking of awkward silences, I do apologize for basing this entire post around a word that is commonly used to describe an unfortunate down-there disease. But I didn’t have much to work with this morning, mkay?

What has you clapping today?

  4. Ahh, you are too funny. I loved it!

I clapped at a love letter that I got from an 8 year old today. I also clapped at getting up early to squeeze in an early morning run…I’m with ya, it makes being at work all day easier on the mind :-)
