Hey hey! It was a gorgeous day here in Oklahoma. 63 degrees in January? Yes, please. Just mother nature’s way of teasing us before spewing forth her wrath tomorrow.

Today was not an extremely productive day at work. I had to wait on the higher ups to speak about the projects I’ve been working on, so I was basically just twiddling my thumbs (read: google reader and Twitter) waiting on the approval. It was a nice change of pace from the usual insanity though.

The thumb twiddling stopped at about 4 p.m. though when I got my next assignment. Gulp. It scares me.

Isn’t this a food blog? Oh yeah… So for lunch I had my Bulgar and Black Soybean Salad on top of some organic herbed greens with a sliced orange.

Delicious and sooo filling. Bulgar is such a hearty and filling grain. Love it.

Snacks today were a peach cho-baby.

And a piece of raspberry chocolate my coworker gave me.

That chocolate made me happy.

After work I went home and changed clothes so I could meet up with Lisa at the gym. We did a workout she had called a “complex” and it was great! Just trying to keep up with Lisa was a workout, haha. I’m sure I’ll definitely be sore tomorrow!

I had mentioned to her on g-chat earlier that I have been having a hard time increasing my protein intake and she was sweet enough to bring me some goodies.

Thank you so much girl! I decided to have a little somethin’ somethin’ since we just did some lifting. I mixed up half a packet of the Dark Chocolate Myoplex Lite with some water and chugged it.

It wasn’t bad! The picture was taken a little bit before it was all shook up, but after it smoothed out it was tasty. I’m really looking forward to trying the BSN powder in the morning!

Alright, it’s dinner time. And I know exactly what I’m going to have!

  1. Dark choc is my least fav flavor of them
but it’s still ok..it works better if you blend it ..I don’t use too much water with the whole pack and it’s thick and creamy like a milkshake! Yum!

  2. 63 degrees. i am insanely jealous.

oh girl…don’t be scared of your projects. think of it as an incredible opportunity to shine and show people how friggin awesome you are!

andddddd i have a bag of bulgar in my pantry that i have had no idea what to do with…until now!!!

  3. that is so fun that you get to work out with lisa! next time you use the chocolate EAS, try blending it with 1/2 of a FROZEN banana and some almond milk (or whtever milk you like) OMG YOU WILL DIE!!
