Movie Day

Hello dear friends! I slept iiiiinnnnnn this morning. And it. felt. fabulous. Usually I feel guilty about doing that but the roads are still bad and my car is a solid block of ice so I figured there was nothing wrong with staying in bed until noon :)

Yesterday after I posted I did yoga and then forced myself to work until 5 p.m. It was hard to concentrate, but I managed to do it. I’ll probably do a little more work this weekend since I don’t have anything else to do.

Lunch yesterday was a Spicy Fake Buffalo Chik’n Salad. Seriously one of my favorite meals of all time.

Later on I had a protein shake with the other half of the Myoplex Lite packet that Lisa gave me, half a frozen banana, a cup of almond milk and two cups spinach.

After I finished up work I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and an at-home upper body workout. It wasn’t the best, but I felt the burn.

My brother and sister-in-law wanted to get out of the house for dinner so they came and picked me up and we went to Carino’s – one of the only places open around my apartment. I got the Eggplant Parmesan and it was fried and tasty. I also had some bread dipped in balsamic vinegar, a house salad with balsamic vinegar and two glasses of Chianti. Definitely not a meal in which I practiced moderation :)

I went to bed pretty early for a Friday due to the wine consumption and the lack of things to do and didn’t wake up this morning until 11:30! Talk about a good night’s sleep!

Since I slept through breakfast I decided to just move right along to lunch, which was leftover from last night. Not my leftovers though.

My SIL ordered the spinach and artichoke pasta last night and I took three of the stuffed pastas home with me for lunch today. Clearly, I have no shame when it comes to obtaining free food, haha. I had the pastas with a simple salad dressed in balsamic vinegar and topped with some shredded asiago cheese and red onions. Scrumptious.

I’ve declared today a movie watching day. I’m watching The Omen right now and it’s straight up freaking me out! After it ends I’m going to watch 500 Days of Summer on the elliptical.

Have a good Saturday kiddos!

  1. Your salad from yesterday look freakin amazing. Totally my type of meal too :)

Enjoy your movie day. I love days of relaxing and watching a bunch of movies. And hey, if you can exercise while watching a movie, even better. Enjoy your Saturday!

  2. I love days like that!! I also love leftovers and have zero shame when it comes to taking them from others who will not utilize them like I will.

Love 500 days of summer, too…there is a dance scene in there that makes ME want to jump up and down it’s so ridiculously vibrant and hilarious.

  3. Bah, sometimes we need to throw moderation out the window ;) That dinner sounds fabulous! I just found out we have a version of Netflix in Canada – I need to jump on that bandwagon!
