Ack! Reading about all your first wrecks today was very interesting, but it made me super paranoid to drive, haha! And for those of you who’ve never wrecked. My hat is off to you! And please… knock on some wood immediately
Today has been pretty out of the ordinary, but mostly in a good way! I came in to work and got handed a project that scares the bejeezus out of me because it’s so important to the company. But… I’m ready! (Fake it ’til you make it.)
Then, I saw on Twitter that today is National Chili Day.
I didn’t plan this, but hey, I love to celebrate food holidays when I can. The white bean chili was a little better today. The flavor of the liquid (is it still called broth if it’s in a chili?) was really good, but the beans aren’t absorbing the flavor at all. And since I loaded it down with a whole bag of dried beans (hmmm… maybe that was the problem) it makes for an underwhelming taste sensation.
Even though I ate lunch at work, I still had to run home because I had forgotten my running shoes for tonight’s run. It was a good thing though, because when I got there I saw that I had a special delivery!
I won some Chobani from Kate a few weeks ago and it arrived right before I got home today. How perfect is that? Sorry about the disheveled nature of my dining room table, but I was in a hurry!
This package was extraordinarily awesome. I didn’t even know these kid flavors existed!
I love the lunch pale to!
I checked my mail while I was at home as well, where I came across another fun package. I ordered these note cards from Lisa’s mom’s company, Winning Photography Solutions.
Aren’t they pretty? She also sent me some samples from some other sets. I thought this one was really cool.
You guys should really check out the web site!
My snack today was very out of the ordinary for me, but it was so amazing. It all started with this little gem, that the lovely Lisa gave me to try out.
Holy moly, that stuff is good! Waaaay better than the PB&Co. Mighty Maple peanut butter, in my opinion. I paired the almond butter with some Apples to the Second Power.
Or, more specifically, chopped apples and applesauce. Might seem strange to some, but it was fantastic!
I’m heading downtown this evening to have sushi with my friend Taylor. Should be a good time!

I really want to try Justin’s, but that stuff is expensive (as a lot of almond butter is)….must….win….giveaway
I am sooooo glad you like the cards. Have you tried the Justins Cinnamon PB? If not let Lisa know and I will get you one, it is my favorite.
Denise is my momma by the way
I didnt know it was national chili day!!
I can’t wait to hear your review on the Kid’s Chobani! The banana one sounds so tasty!! Knock on wood, I haven’t been in a car accident. Seriously though, knock.on.frickin.wood.!!!
Those Chobani kids flavors look so cute! I can’t wait to read what they taste like.
And that Maple AB is better than Mighty Maple? I’m sold!
I am SO glad you liked the almond butter! Seriously, I’m addicted. Me and my mom always do a big order and we are about to have to do another one.
I’m so glad you liked the cards! I was so excited to see them pop up on here. I just ordered the same set you did too!
My table looks worse than that … it is pretty scary actually! It becomes a place to stack things when I come in the door … books, mail, purchases. I need to schedule dinner parties just so I clean the darn thing off!!
Haha, you should see my table! It’s the designated blog picture taking area. But I have to clear everything off before I can take a pic of anything!
Do they send you the yogurt in ice? That’s too cool.

I find chili quite often to better aged. My first go with dry beans sucked too. I missed chili day that sucks!
Yay for deliveries! That maple AB is the best thing around…it is my absolute favorite. I’ve been wanting to try Mighty Maple, but after your statement, maybe it can’t get better than Justin’s…?
I missed national pancake day and national chili day! What in the world?! Maybe I can make up for it this weekend! I can’t find that Justin’s AB anywhere. Can’t wait to see what you think of the kid chobani
So glad you got the yogurt and I can’t wait to read your review of them!! Enjoy!
The kids Chobani soun awesome, and I love those cards!
Do you have chilli left? I made one with a ton of extra veg and beans, and it was really bland but I stirred in a can of salsa (to the whole pot) and it was great
I want a cool chobani lunch bag!!!! What a score
