Glowing in March

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway!

It’s March! March = Spring, right? It seems to be the overall consensus in blogland that February kind of sucked. (Well except for Janetha… since she got engaged and all.) Not that it didn’t have it’s high points, but I think most everyone is over winter and ready for some warmer weather! I know I am.

There was nothing wrong with my February, it was just a bit dull and way too cold and dreary. But despite all that, I’ve still been plugging away at my New Year’s Resolution to challenge myself more. I overcame my fear of spinning class, hopped back on the running train and started to do more creative writing (on my own time).

I have a new challenge/project for this month, but I’ll get to that at the end of the post.

I was supposed to eat Indian food with my coworkers today, but we had our individual team meetings and they kind of conflicted, so we changed it to tomorrow. I didn’t pack a lunch since I thought I’d be eating out, so that meant one thing and one thing only – Panera! I can’t believe I’ve gone so long without it. I got the Pick Two with one part old faithful and one part newbie.

The old faithful would be the tomato and mozzarella panini.

And the newbie was the Garden Vegetable Soup with Pesto.

I had high hopes for the soup, but it was just your standard veggie soup. Nothing special, but tasty nonetheless.

I got a teeny apple as my side, and had it for “dessert”.

For a snack I tried the Very Berry flavor of the Chobani Champions line.

This yogurt would definitely be kid friendly, meaning it was incredibly sweet. It kind of tasted like a push-up pop! Remember those?

Glowing in March!

So what’s my March challenge going to be? I’m going to do Project Glow! I saw Meganerd’s post this morning about doing this and decided it would be perfect for me right now! My skin has been bothering me a little bit lately, it just looks a bit dull and unhealthy. I attribute the cause to a lack of sleep and an increase in stress of late. I need some glow in my life!

I won’t be able to start right away because I have to go get the supplies, but I’ll be (reluctantly) doing a before and after to show the results. However… I am completely incapable of taking pictures of myself so that could wind up being a challenge of it’s own!

My Version of the Project Glow Challenge:

  • Limiting my coffee intake to 5 cups per week. This is an experiment really. I’ve been considering detoxing from coffee all together, but right now I’d rather shoot myself in the foot than do that.
  • Drinking a Green Monster every day. I already to that!
  • Following the skin care regimen that Angela describes, but with Oil of Olay moisterizer instead of St. Ives (because I can’t afford to buy all new products).
  • Drinking 80 ounces of water a day. This is really arbitrary, but I need a goal, otherwise I won’t pay attention.
  • Taking a daily vitamin every day. Lord help me on this one, I simply cannot remember to take them! But I think it might help.

Other Exciting Things about March:

Fitbloggin! No ‘splainin’ necessary here.

Daylight Saving’s Time! Yay for more daylight! Losing an hour of sleep is sooo worth it.

March 20th is the first day of Spring! Just knowing it’s in my grasp is a mood lifter!

Did you have a good February?

What are you looking forward to in March?

I’m off to go deal with my taxes. Not the most enjoyable of evenings, but I think I’ll alleviate the pain with a bit of shopping :)
