Catch up

Good morning! I hope your weekends are off to a fabulous start!

I have to work today at the part-timer and then I plan on watching lots of football and enjoying the day before tonight when the new man will be meeting my dad and stepmom :)

I don’t have much to share, but I posted like crazy this week!

Here are some of my faves you may have missed:

I talked about my change in relationship status on Monday.

I made my “list” and had fun reading all of yours.

I went five days without eating a vegetable.

Catch up if ya missed ‘em!

What are your plans for the weekend?

Any good “meet the parents” stories to share with the class? Here’s hoping that all goes well tonight :)

  1. I don’t have any good meet the parents stories because my parents *hated* my last serious boyfriend. And they havent met my current boyfriend yet unfortunately. He was supposed to come home for Thanksgiving but the Navy sucks so yeah. :/

  2. Oh Kacy, I have the best story. I hope it doesn’t scare you too much.

So, Dave and I started dating in high school, and I would walk home and Dave rode the bus. Well, his mom had to pick him up one day after school and offered to take me home as well.

So when I got in the car I started giving her direction to my house. She cut me off and said, “Oh, I know where you live. I looked your family up in the phonebook and my mother and I drove past your house to see what kind of people you are.”

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Thankfully I only lived 2 miles from the high school. I couldn’t wait to get out of the car.

But what is unfortunate is that that incident was only a small glimpse into the monster-in-law that she is.

But it’s getting better.. SIX YEARS LATER. Geez.

  3. Things will go great!! I know it! When I met Joey’s parents for the first time I had flown down to Houston from STL around Christmas time. It was kind of intense but totally worth it because here we are engaged 2 years later!!

Can’t wait to hear all about it!
