Today is finally my presentation. I’m nervous, and I’m not exactly ready, but I’ve just decided to own it and be confident. I can do this!

In fact, I’m going to post something humiliating in honor of my public speaking event today – a video of me speaking in public!

I don’t know what is possessing me to do this. I cringe at my own voice and I never share things I’ve written (creatively) with people.

But, you know what? Now that I look back on it, I think it’s kind of cool.

This was actually my “final” in one of my college Poetry Writing courses, and we all had to recite original poems in front of a large crowd of people. I was so nervous that day, but I made it through, and I know I’ll make it through this as well.

So, enjoy! You can make fun of me if you want. 

Or snap your fingers in cool, hippie agreement. Whatever floats your boat.

I’m definitely no coffee house poet, but I own this too.
