Good afternoon! Thank you all so much for reading about my current dilemma. Things are still up in the air, but they change about every five minutes. I’ll be sure to let you know when I things get finalized!
I’ve been moving slowly today. I think I’ve totalled maybe 9 hours of sleep the past three days. It hasn’t been pretty.
So I decided to treat myself to a lunch out to get the blood pumping a little. That and the fact that I have no groceries. Story of my life.
It’s been forever and a day since I’ve had Panera, which is odd considering that I used to have it like once a week. I guess that means I’ve been sticking to the budget. Go me.
I got the Pick 2 with half a Turkey Artichoke panini (that wasn’t good at all) and half a Greek salad (which was delicious and loaded with olives, score).
While eating, I enjoyed thirty minutes of eavesdropping on OPC (other people’s conversations).
One girl was crying uncontrollably because she hates living in Oklahoma and her significant other won’t let her move. Sad deal.
Another table of middle-aged ladies were discussing how to avoid raising children to be gay. Yep – sort of like you train a dog not to bite. Oy.
Anyways, since I didn’t enjoy my sammich – I got a brownie to go.
Even the brownie wasn’t that great. Panera kind of let me down today. I should have gone with one of my standbys – the toffee nut cookie or the cinnamon chip scone. Bad decision. Don’t kid yourself into thinking I didn’t eat the brownie though. Even meh chocolate is still chocolate, and chocolate is good.
Post-brownie consumption I decided to enjoy the gorgeous Oklahoma day by walking a few laps around my office building while listening to Panera. It was fabulous. The music and sunshine cleared my head and I felt a lot lighter than I have the past couple of weeks.
I know I’m taking all of this moving stuff a little bit too seriously. The bottom line is that I’m very lucky to be in a position where I can relocate to a city I love and no matter how things end up, they will be for the best.
Remind me of that next time I start freaking out.
It is sure to happen. Probably in the next few hours. Just give me a swift kick in the keister and refer back to this post. Please and thank you.
Do you like olives?
