Thanks to all who responded to my thoughts on anxiety yesterday. I know it’s not the most fun topic ever, but it’s one we all deal with and I loved reading your comments.
I SLEPT LAST NIGHT! For about 5 solid hours. Major progress. Opening up about my issues helped once again.
I’m still feeling pretty overwhelmed about some things, but I’m taking action to get it all under control.
The number one thing I have to do for myself is slow down for awhile. I’ve gotten pretty wrapped up in making sure I accept every social engagement and squeeze in as many things as I can in a week that I’ve run myself a bit ragged.
This weekend, I intend to smooth myself back out by getting proper amounts of sleep, knocking out some workouts, running errands that have been plaguing me and spending some time relaxing with me, myself and I.
I’m thinking a movie night tonight since it’s supposed to rain cats and dogs and I haven’t watched a movie in about… six months.
Of course, there will be some socializing, but I need to take it down a notch for a few days – then I can get back to the usual go-go-go routine that I seem to prefer as of late.
DC Graffiato Meet-up Update: Due to an important movie event at midnight on our original meet-up date (July 14th) + other scheduling conflicts, I think we’re going to move the Graffiato Meet-up to Wednesday, July 20th. Please let me know if you can attend! I’ll try to get reservations by Friday the 15th.
What movie should I rent tonight? I literally haven’t watched a single movie since at least February, so I’m way behind!

Do you mean Wed. July 20 for Graffiato’s? If so, please add me to the list! I’m actually out of town next week, which is why I didn’t respond about the 14th.
I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better today and got some more sleep. I wish I could recommend a movie, but I think I’m just as bad as you. I can’t remember the last one that I’ve rented! I did see Bridesmaids, which I’d recommend, but I don’t think that’s on DVD yet.
Yes, I guess I didn’t get ENOUGH sleep because I definitely meant the 20th! I’ll put you down!
I would say maybe Black Swan (eventho it’s kind of crazy) it was really good
Oh wait, I have seen that. But in theaters, so like back in December. I guess I’m still semi in the loop
I liked Easy A, it was really cute. But I’m like a year late on most movies so you’ve probably seen it.
Haha, yep I’ve seen that one too. I guess I misspoke. I had a boyfriend for a minute who made me watch tons of movies, then we broke up and I stopped.
Did you see the Invention of Lying yet? LMAO…it’s VERY sarcastic and not P.C. at all. That’s probably why I enjoyed it. Glad you got some sleep! I’ve been reading, just not have had too much time to comment. But I’m here
YAY for sleep!!!
And good luck with this weekend- I wanted mine to be quiet. Then life happens. It’s busy, but much more low key.
Count me in! I’m glad I’m not the only HP freak out there.
Enjoy your relaxing weekend!
Yay for sleeping! I want to watch a movie tonight too, I think I’ll see what netflix instant queue has available! I’ll get back to you about dinner!
I agree with your SIL – Invention of Lying is a great movie. So is Morning Glory if you’re in the mood for that kind of movie. It made my insides smile.
Oh, I’m not sure what that is. I’ll look into it!
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a good movie, too. Life as We Know It was a cute rom com, if you’re in the mood. Glad you’re sleeping better- hope you have a very restful weekend!
about 4 months ago i started getting panic attacks and it was scary! not to be a poster child for supplements and such haha, but i did find 5htp (or St.John’s Wort) really helpful…as well as relora (which is amazing!!!)
xoxo <3
I run myself ragged too, and totally know how you feel. You really need to take some time for you, and I hope your weekend was relaxing!
