Football is coming! I’ve been watching this on repeat. It gives me chills.

This season is going to be really weird, living so far away from my Alma Mater and unable to watch the games with hordes of OU fans, as is the custom.
I’ve found a few bars that play the games though, so I’ll still be able to catch them each Saturday.
Even though I may have to search harder to find avid Sooner fans to celebrate with in DC – I’m pretty excited for my first summer in an NFL town.
I’ve decided to just go ahead and be a Redskins fan. I like a good underdog. Plus, the Redskins colors are similar to OU’s so I won’t have to add a lot to my wardrobe. It’s just common sense.
I’m also going to start up a Fantasy Football league with my coworkers, which I’m really excited about. I already have my strategy – all former OU players, no former Texas players or any Dallas Cowboys players. I think it’s a sure win.

You can probably find an OU bar downtown somewhere. I thinkkkkkkk places like Hard Times will have the games on a lot though. And booooooooooooooo Red Skins.
Yeah I’ve heard that hard times plays them, so that’s plan A.
I think we can coexist during football season by sharing a mutual distaste for the Cowboys. Even though I grew up in Burke, I didn’t care about football til I moved to PA. That being said, I was raised to hate the Cowboys regardless, thanks to my Redskins-loving father. I just signed up for our fantasy football league. It’s all of Scott’s college buddies, and me. There were other chicks, but I’m the only one who keeps coming back. This is the year of Tits McGee! I can feel it!

Football just isnt as big around here. We have our own league, but its not quite the same. Although, I did have seasons tickets one year, and I used to LOVE going to the games. Maybe I should start that up again.

I’m bummed you’ve picked the skins, but as long as we can agree to both hate dallas and the giants (call them the “cowgirls” or the “ginas” and you’ll score points at the sports bar, haha). So for two weeks a season, we’ll just agree to disagree. Oh – and GO IRISH.

Since I went to a Division 3 school I am not as into college football, but I wish I had a team. I got my masters at UNC, but they are hardly a football school (good for basketball season though)!

I love fantasy football!! I played in three leagues at one point when I was in grad school. I think I’m sticking to one this year.
Nope, I don’t play fantasy football, but a bunch of my friends do.
Honestly I just can’t get into the NFL that much (Fantasy Football is the only reason I watch it). College football is where it is at, the rivalries and traditions cannot be beat!
