I’m currently on what I have coined “the donut diet”.
Since we moved to our new office, there are free donuts and bagels in the lunch room every morning. I basically have a small slice of one every time I walk into the office, instead of having breakfast.
Sometimes, I work through lunch and have another one (or a muffin) when my stomach starts to growl. Then I go home and eat whatever somewhat “healthy” food I have lying around the house. Last night it was this:
Naan pizza with roasted red pepper spread and feta.
That, however, is not what bars me from carrying the “healthy living” title – what does it is that I don’t care that I’m eating like this.
While I do not condone or recommend the donut diet for anyone else, I’m not that worried about it. I’m broke, and it’s saving me money. And I really, really like donuts. Plus, three people have told me today that I look like I’ve lost weight.
Also, all the sugar? It gives me all kinds of energy for workouts.
I even worked out after work yesterday. That hasn’t happened in at least two months.
I ran fast.
My left leg was numb the entire time.
I’d rather not talk about it.
In fact, I’d better go, there’s only one donut left. It’s a chocolate covered glazed with sprinkles. I like to save the best for last.

chocolate cake glazed is my FAVORITE.
Damn you now all I can think about is donuts.
Can you drink wine on this “donut diet”?
Hahah mmm donuts. delish.
I wish I had access to donuts b/c I too, would do the donut diet with you. Luckily there is a City Bites in my building and I can order a loaded baked potato for lunch like I did today. It was also OKC building appreciation day so I got a free ice cream cone too. With chocolate and nuts. And it was GOOOOOOOD
And that pizza looks awesome BTW. I’d totally eat that.
That pizza looks delicious.
Donuts are like crack. I went through a phase where I ate 20 Timbits (donut holes from Tim Hortons – they’re amazing) every saturday. So delicious.
I will never turn down donuts.
Not a fan of donuts, but I’ll go on the naan pizza diet in a second!
It’s been way too long since I’ve had a donut. this needs to change.
donuts are the bomb.com, ha!
One could argue that you are a healthy blogger BECAUSE you eat donuts and naan pizza. I think you’re right – the biggest thing is just not worrying and feeling good. As long as I don’t feel like crap, I think it’s healthy, ya know?
Um. Dude. Who took away your title of “Healthy Living Blogger”??? I’m glad you blog about your meals, healthy or not. But I’m even more glad that you blog about your emotions, relationships and work. After all, taking care of our mental health is part of living a healthy life.
Oh. And I love donuts too. Especially the hot glaze from Krispy Kreme.
I am definitely not a healthy living blogger … not to say I don’t live healthfully.
