Yesterday was an absolutely perfect way to spend the last day of the year. It started with an early morning yoga class. The easy, relaxing class was perfect because I was super sore from Body Pump last night.
Yoga is officially back in my life, and I couldn’t be more happy about it. I’m going to make it a priority from now on, it just feels so good!
After that, I rushed home to shower and get ready for a special meeting!
I met up with Lisa and new friend Teri at one of my favorite Oklahoma City restaurants, 105degrees - a raw vegan place that I’ve blogged about several times.
Why are bloggers so good looking?
They’re also fun to talk to and have great taste in food!
We were all so excited about the menu that we ordered a little bit of everything. Whenever I go to 105 I always have to have a shot of wheatgrass.
Then I started with the Kimchee Dumplings, which I shared with the ladies.
I’d had these before at an event a few months ago and knew I had to have them again. They remind me a little bit of sushi but they’re totally raw and vegan.
I didn’t like them as much the second time around though. Maybe they changed the recipe?
The item I enjoyed next was hands down my favorite – Lisa’s Tostado Salad.
Oh my goodness gracious me, this salad was divine. DIVINE! I kept telling the girls that I would be thinking about it every day until I can eat it again. I assure you this is true. I’m pretty sure I’ll be devouring one of these guys within the next week!
For my entree I had the Heirloom Tomato Lasagna.
This was different than I remembered it too, but it was still wonderful. The food at 105degrees is just fresh and full of flavor.
Teri’s Massaged Kale Salad was another perfect example of an extremely flavorful dish.
Seriously, isn’t she adorable?
I think they should put that picture on their website
We weren’t done yet though – bring on the raw vegan dessert goodness!
Raw vegan tiramisu to be exact, with raw vegan ice cream. I died. I don’t really even care that much for tiramisu, and this truly blew me away.
I couldn’t think of a better meal to eat on the last day of 2010, or better lunch dates.
Lisa is one of my absolute favorites, I just adore her. I just discovered Teri’s blog due to this meet-up but I’m already in love with it. She has the cutest boxer ever (my dream dog!) and is just super fun and sweet! I’m so happy I was able to meet her!
I hope you’ve all had a great first day of 2011. It seems my cold has come back for round two so as soon as I finish watching the Fiesta Bowl (BOOMER!) I’m hitting the hay!
